Dominican coffee is one of the favorite drinks in the Caribbean. Originally it was the Spanish that brought coffee from the African continent to the Dominican Republic around the 18th century. The coffee beans in the Dominican Republic are cultivated in the mountain ranges near Bahoruco, Azua and Bani located at the Southwest of the country and the northern mountains near San Francisco, Moca and Salcedo. Dominican coffees can range from rich flavor with acidity to full body, sweet, nutty, and a low acidity with a mellow taste. Coffee has been grown in Cuba since the mid 18th century. The crop was boosted by French farmers fleeing the Haitian Revolution in 1791. The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is located in the southern Caribbean south of Grenada and just off the northeast coast of Venezuela.
